Since as early as 1881 there has been a store associated with this ferry landing on the Cape Fear River. The current building was built in 1932 and housed a general store that sold wares to fishermen.

Kenny "Big Mac" McManus got his start in BBQ doing whole hog pig pickin's for family and friends. Out of his trucking business in 2011 and looking for a new career, the restaurant became that opportunity. He and his wife Marie serve up breakfast sandwiches, burgers, grilled Nathans hotdogs, Philly cheese steaks, homemade potato chips and much more. Slow-cooked, hand-pulled BBQ is served every Friday & Saturday for lunch until it's gone (which most of the time is pretty quick!).  We purchase most of our meat fresh locally, and everything from our chili, slaw, fresh-cut potato chips and burgers that we hand patty are made in house with a lot of love. We provide fresh home-cookin' and an environment that will make you feel like family.

Come grab a bite and a bottle of R.C. Cola and rock a while on our screened-in porch and reminisce about the good ole days.
